This book is part of a marketing campaign designed to encourage financial advisors to push the sales of the TD Ameritrade Retirement Plan. It tells the stories of people who missed massive opportunities. From the company that turned down the patent on the telephone to the movie studio that gave up the rights to Star Wars. At the end of the book—once the reader was primed to not repeat others’ mistakes—we introduced the TD Ameritrade Retirement Plan. The book was shipped to 5000 financial advisors and the response was overwhelming. Calls from advisors have exceeded anyone’s expectations including requests for eight figure proposals.
